Jasmit Dhaliwal-Perez is a native of Dallas, Texas. She attended high school locally at the Talented and Gifted Magnet where she graduated with high honors. She went on to attend Carleton College, a small liberal arts college in rural Minnesota. While at Carleton, she was a recipient of the Mellon-Mayes undergraduate fellowship. She studied abroad in Madrid, Spain and Mexico City. Ms. Dhaliwal-Perez graduated from Carleton magna cum laude with a B.A. in History with a Minor in Women & Gender Studies and in Spanish.

Ms. Dhaliwal-Perez pursued her law degree at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas where she was awarded a Doctor of Jurisprudence. During her time in law school, she interned at Catholic Charities where she assisted indigent clients obtain legal representation. She also interned for the Department of Justice at the Houston Immigration Court.

Since receiving her license to practice law, she has represented numerous clients in a variety of practice areas including criminal, family, personal injury, and immigration law.  Ms. Dhaliwal-Perez is passionate about fighting for her clients’ rights and works diligently to obtain the most favorable result possible.
