Elena P. Serna was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She attended the University of New Mexico and the University of Massachusetts, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree. During her undergraduate experience, Elena obtained many accolades including Dean’s List.
Elena attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas where she earned her juris doctorate. Elena excelled in leadership as the president of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Organization (ADRO), and as the vice-president of the Labor and Employment Law Association (LELA). Elena embraced a passion for public interest and was the recipient of the San Antonio Bar Foundation/Campus Ministries Public Interest Award, and the Dean’s Spirit Award for her organization’s participation with The People’s Law School. Elena also excelled academically by achieving membership in the Phi Delta Phi honor society and serving as a teaching assistant and research assistant for two law professors.
Elena is qualified as a Certified Impartial Third Party (Mediator) and is licensed to practice in Texas and New Mexico.
